The survey was conducted as a part of the System Change and Modernization project (France, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia) which was focused on exploration of the dynamic of the change of the system and of modernization in the course of so called "transition" after the collapse of communist regimes at East to the recent period. The main objective of the survey is to brink an empirical evidence on the dynamic of change at the macro level on the basis of a comparison between Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The data allow to identify: 1. the most influential social and institutional actors, their interests and strategies, participation in relation to the processes of transformation and modernization 2. perception of national authorities, political and economical strategies of transformation and modernization, and social polities offered to different groups affected by these strategies.
