Sampling Procedure

A total number of 1052 respondents representing the population of the Czech Republic were questioned. Characteristics of the quota sampling were gender, age and education.Territorial representability of the data is maintained by the construction on the interviewer network itself, where the controlled characteristics are the size of the place of residence and regions (old regions).

Parameters of the data set correspond to the structure of the population of the Czech Republic as for the structure of the sociodemographic characteristics (gender, education, age) and also as for the area. Overall, it can be claimed the sample is representative because its composition is in accordance with the population of the Czech Republic (with the tolerance of minimal deviation).

Mode of Data Collection

Standardized interview. Data collection was conducted by trained interviewers of the interview network of Public Opinion Research Center.
In the ground data collection, a total number of 182  interviewers took part in. They evaluated the questioning situation very well. Due to high quality of filled-in questionnaires, all conducted interviews were integrated.
The data set evinces high level of representability and it was not weighted.

Weighting

Data set is weighted. The data file contains post-stratification weighting variable. The scales are created using the iterative proportional weighing method. The  variables used for construction of weight are education (4 categories) X NUTS 2, age (4 categories) X NUTS 2, sex X region, size of place of residence (8 categories) X age (4 categories) and education (4 categories) X age (4 categories) . The source of data for weighing is the Czech Statistical Office. The size of the scales is limited to the range 0.333 to 3.
