This survey folowed the survey "Social Stratification in Eastern Europe after 1989". The goal of this study was to complete informations about changes in social structure and about mobility with opinions and attitudes about transformation and social change.

In this area this study folowed survey "Transformation of the Social Structure 1991" and also study on attitudes from 1984 ("TSS" attitude questionnaire, see in DA). The study was realized in Czech and Slovak Republics in the autumn 1993 in the scope of grant project.

Data collection was realized from October 1st to 30th 1993.

Utvalsprosedyre

Multilevel random choice. Community, locality, random walk wits selection of the flat, random choice of respondent by Kisch's tables.
Number of cases: 1902, adults from 18 to 69 years of age

Type datainnsamling

Standardized individual interviews

Vekting

In the first step the data are weighted from random choice of household to random choice of individuals (due to size of household).
Weighting: ratio men / women, five age cohorts and four educational groups and their combinations (variable in SPSS data file).
